Who is Risa?

Risa is dedicated to aligning HR functions strategically to drive business growth and success. With nearly 20 years of experience in Human Resources across diverse sectors such as banking, healthcare, environmental science, and human services, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the State University of New York College at Buffalo.

Risa began her HR career in the banking industry, spending a decade with institutions like HSBC and Citizens Bank, where she honed her skills in recruitment, employee relations, and compliance. After taking a break to focus on her family, she returned to the HR field, making impactful contributions in a multidisciplinary healthcare practice, the Environmental Sciences field at TestAmerica/Eurofins, and most recently, in Human Services at Person Centered Services. In these roles, she excelled as an HR Generalist, Senior HR Generalist, and HR Business Partner, enhancing her expertise in managing leaves of absence, accommodations, workers’ compensation, employee relations, and talent acquisition.

Outside the Office:

Outside of her professional endeavors, Risa is passionate about helping others and shares her HR expertise by volunteering with SCORE Buffalo Niagara, where she supports small businesses and entrepreneurs with HR-related challenges.

Risa and her husband are proud parents of two daughters and two cats. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, gardening, reading, exercising, and the arts.
